Easin' Back to Work with Guitars

For those of us that must return to work Monday the weekends pass all too quickly. At this time of the year the weekends are often so filled with chores that little time is left to relax. So as we enter another work week let’s ease back into the daily grind with a few soothing guitar tunes.

Norman Blake - Down At Milow's House.mp3

Kenny Baker & Josh Graves - Kenny's Blues.mp3

Norman & Nancy Blake - OBC3.mp3

Several phrases come to mind regarding these tunes:

"Good God A'mighty!" "Can I get a witness?" "Amen!" "If it made me feel any better, I"d need to be triplets!" ...

Dang, son, these are some good! You're also right on the money about needing a break from the weekend ... kinda like needin' a vacation to recover from the one y' just got back from ...

All I can say is that these are some mighty tasty tracks you've selected, and there ain't nuthin' nicer than listening to tunes well-played without the distractions of vocal interruption ... which is a wordy way to say 'instrumentals' ... This is a great way to start a Monday - thanks for a great post ...

Wow Ed, must be Christmas. I have been singing and playing that song for 40 years now. I haven't heard the orginal since '69 !!! That tune, those words! Reminds me in of Codiene (is that the Indian influence).
